CALDWELL – The borough could be the first municipality in Essex County to have a rain garden.

After setting a goal to see 1,000 Fort Wayne property owners build rain gardens to help reduce the stress on the sewer systems, the city is setting up three demonstration sites at area schools to show the benefits.

Three Fort Wayne Community Schools buildings will house rain gardens to help demonstrate community and environmental paybacks.
